Attorneys Jeffrey McCormick and Jeffrey Trapani recently teamed to defend a Hartford law firm, sued with a bank in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Springfield. The Complaint alleged against both defendants claims of wrongful foreclosure, fraud, deceit, misrepresentation, violation of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93A, violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, breach of contract, and fraudulent transfer. Both defendants filed motions to dismiss the claims. After a hearing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, that court allowed the motion argued by Jeff McCormick on behalf of the Hartford law firm, yet denied the motion to dismiss filed and argued on behalf of the bank.
Jeff McCormick’s practice includes litigation representing professionals in various types of malpractice claims.
Jeff Trapani is an associate with the firm’s Litigation department representing municipalities, employers, insurance companies and their insureds.
