Attorney Jeffrey L. McCormick continues to try a variety of jury trials in courts throughout the Commonwealth.
Recently Jeff successfully defended in the Hampden County Housing Court a corporate builder accused of wrongdoing by a client whose new home became flooded when a sewer line backed-up, sending several feet of raw sewage into the home. Alleged damages were for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
After trying the case for five days, the court allowed Jeff’s motion arguing that the plaintiffs had not proven their case against one of the corporate officers sued individually. The plaintiffs thereafter agreed to dismiss the corporation from the case. The jury ultimately awarded against another defendant a judgment, which with interest was in excess of $300,000.
A Fellow in the prestigious American College of Trial Attorneys, Jeff has tried over 100 cases to conclusion.
