Attorneys Nancy Frankel Pelletier and David S. Lawless Obtain Dismissal of Civil Rights Claims Against Individual Defendants

In a civil rights and defamation law suit brought by a former Springfield Police Officer, the Plaintiff alleged that the Town of Hampden, Massachusetts Police Department violated his civil rights in responding to complaints received that he posed a danger to his family. 

The suit was filed against the Town and individual police officers in the Police Department.  Attorneys Nancy Frankel Pelletier and David Lawless successfully argued that that each of the civil rights claims against the individual officers should be dismissed. 

This case will now go forward as to civil rights claims against the Town (on a limited basis) and on the Plaintiff's defamation claim.
