Franklin, who joined Robinson Donovan in the summer of 2009, has been in practice since 2006. He brings to our firm a high level of experience in a broad range of employment law matters. Originally from South Carolina, Franklin lived in Eastern Massachusetts before relocating to Springfield to join Robinson Donovan.

Franklin earned his B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 2000, and his J.D from Fordham University School of Law in 2004.. After graduating from law school, Franklin worked for the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination as a compliance officer/investigator. Franklin is a MCAD/MCLE-certified trainer in the area of employment discrimination and harassment prevention.

Prior to joining Robinson Donovan, Franklin was an associate with the Boston firm Morgan, Brown & Joy. His practice includes litigation of employment claims and providing employment law counseling to clients. Franklin’s areas of expertise include employment discrimination and harassment prevention training; defense against claims of discrimination and harassment; wage and hour violations; violations of employee requests for leave, and drafting employee handbooks and employee agreements (noncompetition, nonsolicitation, nondisclosure, separation and other employee agreements). Franklin represents clients before State and Federal courts and administrative agencies.

Franklin was admitted to practice in New York in 2005 and in Massachusetts in 2006. He was admitted before the federal court for Massachusetts in 2007. Franklin is member of the New York, Massachusetts and Boston Bar Associations.

Franklin is a member of the board of directors of PeopleHelper.org, a nonprofit community service organization. He is a member of the Alumni Committee for City Year and a member of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, and Nexus-Alliance.
