Jeffrey J. Trapani

Jeffrey brings a wealth of experience as well as considerable skills as a researcher and writer to our litigation team. Though his legal experience includes work in both the public and private sectors, as a trial attorney Jeffrey has benefited in particular from experience gained as a prosecutor in Suffolk County District Attorney Conley’s office.
Born and raised in New Paltz, New York, Jeffrey currently resides in Northampton, Massachusetts. He was admitted to practice in Massachusetts in 2004 and in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in 2006.
Jeffrey earned his undergraduate degree, a B.A., cum laude, in Political Science with a minor in History, from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Prior to law school, Jeffrey worked as a corporate paralegal for a boutique law firm in the Research Triangle Park of North Carolina. The firm served start-up tech and bio-tech companies from incorporation through financing and merger or acquisition.
He received his J.D., cum laude, from New England School of Law in the spring of 2004.
While attending law school, Jeffrey served as the Editor-in-Chief of the New England Law Review and authored a comment, Grandparent Visitation Rights in Massachusetts after Troxel: Blixt v. Blixt, which was published in the New England Law Review.
He interned for the Public Charities Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and the Civil Division of the United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts in Boston.
Immediately after law school, Jeffrey clerked for the judges of the Massachusetts Juvenile Court Department in Plymouth and Middlesex Counties.
Following the clerkship, Jeffrey served as an Assistant District Attorney for Suffolk County in the Dorchester Division of the Boston Municipal Court.
Before joining Robinson Donovan, Jeffrey practiced insurance defense litigation in a mid-sized Boston law firm. Prior to that, Jeffrey served in the public sector of the Commonwealth.
Jeffrey currently instructs legal research and writing classes to students in the Legal Studies Program at Bay Path College. Prior to that, he was an instructor in the Legal Research and Writing Program at New England School of Law in Boston. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and Hampden County Bar Association.
Jeffrey was selected by the publishers of Boston Magazine and Law & Politics as a 2008 and 2009 Massachusetts "Rising Star" top attorney under the age of 40.
