Richard M. Gaberman

Dick Gaberman joined Robinson Donovan as Of Counsel in 2006 after spending 40 years in practice on his own and as a partner in the firm Gaberman & Parish. Dick, a tireless attorney who represents many of the region's most highly regarded business leaders and individuals, has been known and respected for decades as one of the top tax, business, commercial real estate, and estate planning lawyers in Springfield. He still continues his active practice of law and accepts new clients.

A Holyoke native, Dick is a long-time resident of Longmeadow. Among his various charitable endeavors he was the first president of Big Brothers of Springfield, is a past president of the Jewish Federation of Greater Springfield, and a past chairperson of the Jewish Endowment Foundation of Western Mass. Dick received his undergraduate education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, from which he received a B.B.A. magna cum laude in 1960. He was awarded an LL.B. from Boston College, magna cum laude in 1963, and an LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University, magna cum laude in 1968. Dick was admitted to practice in Massachusetts in 1963. He was admitted to the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts in 1965, and the U.S. Tax Court in 1966.

Dick is a member of the Hampden County, Massachusetts and American Bar Associations. He taught at the Western New England College Law School from 1968 to 1975. He authored the "Section on Corporation and Partnership Law" for the Annual Survey of Massachusetts Law from 1968 to 1974. At Boston College Law School he was the editor-in-chief of the Law Review.
