Jeffrey W. Roberts

Jeff Roberts is widely regarded as one of Western Massachusetts’ most accomplished estate planners and corporate attorneys. He has built his reputation over the course of 35 years in practice in Springfield. Jeff resides in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. He has served the town as a member of the Board of Selectpersons, Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals.
Born in 1946, he attended Northfield Mt. Hermon School, and graduated with a B.A. from Colgate University in 1968. Jeff served as an officer in the U.S. Navy from 1968 until 1971. His service included a one-year tour of duty in Vietnam. Jeff then studied law at Georgetown University, from which he received his J.D. in 1974. He was admitted to practice before the bar in Massachusetts that same year.
Jeff taught estate planning at Western New England College School of Law for eight years as an Adjunct Professor. He frequently writes for and lectures to business and legal groups.
Jeff is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Hampden County Bar Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is a board member for the Economic Development Council of Western Massachusetts. He serves as a Tribune of the public television station WGBY. Jeff is a former Trustee of American International College and a former Director of The Massachusetts Ventures Corporation.
