Based on a belief that the firm could and should do more to support meaningful causes than simply writing an annual check, RD and its partners have pledged to help Soldier On spread the word about its mission and services.
Robinson Donovan has made a significant commitment of time and resources to Soldier On, a non-profit, that provides homeless veterans with the services they need and housing through an innovative "first of its kind" home ownership program utilizing a limited equity co-operative housing model.
RD attorneys have provided sophisticated real estate, finance and corporate legal advice to Soldier On which helped the organization develop its first limited equity co-operative housing project in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. RD has also helped to secure site control of the former Western Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Center in Agawam, Massachusetts for Soldier On and continue to advise them regarding development matters.
However, the firm has done more than provide expert counsel to Soldier On. For several years RD has committed a substantial portion of its own marketing budget to build awareness for the non-profit.
Attorneys and staff have devoted significant amounts of time to Soldier On – from logistics for the first annual Soldier On Award dinner honoring the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen to helping women veterans build gardens on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
Robinson Donovan is devoted to assisting homeless veterans through Soldier On because we understand that "the fight doesn't end when they get home"
